What is Nanotechnology?

In order to understand nanotechnology, we must understand what nano really means. Nano is a term which denotes a billionth of a meter. At that scale we find atom and molecules. 

    Innovation and study which anything which concerns with nanoscale materials is Nanotechnology. So, why nanotechnology is Unique ? Nanotechnology is unique because of its unique properties.

It differs from macroscale mainly because of these 4 reasons:

1. Gravitational forces become negligible and electromagnetic forces              dominate

2. Quantum mechanics is the model used to describe motion and energy

    instead of the classical mechanics model

3. Greater surface area to volume ratios

4. Random molecular motion becomes more important
